The
second in a sixties trilogy of musically advanced plays by john
daniels, jr.
SIRENS-N-AQUARIUS
is a tone piece. It is a collection of twenty-five rock and roll/pop/folk
songs written or performed by women during the sixties and early seventies,
poems, skits, running gags and togetherness. SIRENS is
not a history of women in rock and roll, but a celebration of their contribution
toward human spirit in a very tense and turbulent time.
The
future of peace, equality, freedom and prosperity lies within the human
spirit, shielded from action by a division of male and female fear.
A fear of change. In the 1960's the feminine warrior began
to bridge the divide.
Combining
innocence, passion and the fervor of youth the gentle idols walked on...
True faith in change. This is not a history lesson. This is
some of what the children saw, heard and felt: Hope.
This
is a celebration of memories.
This
is a celebration of hope.
We
give you this and...
...peaceful
thoughts of a woman on the moon.
