john's Classes in Austin

john's show class (ages 5 and up).
john and the actors will build a production from scratch. This will be the fifth show in the series. Open to all the young actors who have been in one of the previous shows. Accepting a limited number of new students. Parents play, too.

Rehearsals for johns classes: Start Feb. 26, 2009.

The once-a-week rehearsals are held Thursdays in Austin at Northwest Recreation Center, 2913 Northland Dr.

Bring water! These are fast-paced high-energy rehearsal classes. Come dressed to roll on the floor, laugh, play, learn, and have fun.

Show-week Camp for Play and Musical classes: Actors will participate in a daily performance camp the week of the show. May 11-17, 2009.
Performances: Dougherty Arts Theatre during camp week May 11-17, time to be announced. Two performances.

Play written for cast by the director/playwright.
Open to new and returning students.

For ages 5-99.

Cost:

$165 if paid after Feb. 19, 2009
$150 if paid in full prior to Feb. 19, 2009
$135 for each student for two or more students per family, for all returning students, or for those taking more than one of john's classes (discount only applies when paid in full prior to Feb. 19, 2009)
Or pay $50 deposit, pay 33.00 first day of class, and pay $82.00 by April 15. $25 late fee.
Free for parents taking john's classes with their child.

Full refunds for john's classes available until two weeks prior to first class.
You are responsible for supplying your costume.

Custom Classes Available
With a minimum of six (6) students
you can schedule a group class. $10 per hour per student.

Discount Type	Qualifications
1. Multiple shows or Sibling	If you and your sibling is in one of john's shows in the Spring, you qualify. If you or your sibling is also in one of Engela's shows, you qualify. (NOTE: You must pay each instructor separately, but you're still elegible for the discount.)
2. Returning cast members	If you have been in a show directed by john's, you qualify.
3. Parents of caregiver	If you are a parent or caregiver (over 18) of a cast member (age 5-up), you may be in the show with your paying child for free.
